CHARMP2 holds inauguration and turn-over ceremony in Sablan, Benguet

everal meetings and coordination’s were undertaken by the Municipal Management Group members to the concern project partners namely; Office of Sangguniang Bayan Members, COA, PLGU, PSO and PCO regarding the scheduling of final validation/inspection of completed FMR project.

The final inspection at Oring-Banengbeng FMR was on May 25, 2013, Tama-ang-Batawil-Mangi FMA on July 16, 2013, Coroz-Balluay  on September 4, 2013 and Duyot, Bagong FMR on September 12, 2013.


The said activity was co-participated by some members of Barangay Project monitoring and Evaluation Team (BPMET), Barangay Local Government Unit led by Hon. Marlon T. Mariano, Municipal Engineering Staff Engineer Artemio A. Martin and Engr. Michelle A. Busacay, Municipal Project Development Office Engr. Nicomedes L. Caliging, HGW=3 Engineering Construction represented by project manager Engr. Herbert Willie, Office of Commission on Audit by Ms. Corazon O. Espique, Vice Mayor Hon. Manuel B. Munar Jr., Sangguniang Bayan Members, Hon. Vilma G. Ringor, Hon. Fernando Baclawad Jr., Hon. Davies M. Thompson, Staff from Mayors’ Office Ms. Caridad M. Juanitas Municipal Accountant  Ms. Galmesa E. Ocariza and Municipal Treasurer  Ms. Connie O. Tenenan and the assigned Community Mobilization Officers Ms. Dolores S. Wesley and Ms. Majorie M. Molitas. Except Balluay & Bagong wherein there were no representative from Office of Commission on Audit.


The final inspection activity is a requirement under the project to validate the completed project based on the approved project proposals, program of work and detail engineering designs.


Measuring of completed improved and rehabilitated farm to market roads on length, thick, re-stationing and distresses were mostly undertaken during the said event. Post inspection were also done wherein comments, recommendations and suggestions were discussed with the presence of the contractors.


The final inspection undertaken led to the preparation of inauguration and turn-over ceremony. Tasking to the project partners were undertaken. The preparation of program paper and invitation was tasked to MLGU, BPMET and community is the venue preparation, registration and documentation, Contractors food accommodation and ribbons for the Community Mobilization Officers (CMO), co-facilitate in the distribution of invitation letters and venue preparation.

After all, the four (4) improvement and rehabilitation of the Farm to Market Road was successfully inaugurated and turned-over to the community on the following dates; Oring-Banengbeng, Sablan with 151 participants on June 5, 2013, Tama-ang-Batawil-Mangi on August 16, 2013 with 123 participants and joint inauguration and turn-over of Coroz-Balluay and Duyot-Bagong FMR was on September 25, 2013 with 236 participants 114 male and 122 female.//Dolores S.
